I went out to the DeKist side of the garden around 10 AM and came across Ben, Dave, and Elisha, busy tackling the goldenrod takeover, with the intent to end up with a new garden.
Gradually, this year, the metal hoops on the outside of the fence had been taken over by goldenrod. Time to go! Elisha, Dave, and Ben started the job, which included uprooting comfrey.

Elisha tackled the goldenrod directly.

Ben and Dave got mulch for the new garden.

A bit later, neighbor Carissa joined the crew.

She claims that she did NOT intentionally color-coordinate her outfit . . .

So today, as usual, on the corner of DeKist and Overhill, peppers on the vine.
More peppers on the farm stand.

Went out about 2 PM. Task completed!
