A large portion of our big garden is devoted to sweet potatoes this year, and today, was time for its first of several harvests.
Lots of folks joined the fun of digging them out, lots of different kinds, different sizes. Afterwards, distributed to those who helped harvest!
But first, another task: stripping what remains on tall fence. Plus, finish the two little gardens out in front of the fence.
So . . . on my way to Dave, Joseph and Marcella working the fenceline, I came across Elisha with the always laughing Mere . . .

Here’s what the outside looks like now . . .

New bed outside, “probably for peppers,” says Elisha.

SWEET POTATO HARVEST
Here’s the “iconic” shot, harvest in full swing.

Midway through . . . Notice, 9-year-old Wyatt from across the street is working too, with mom Carissa, to his left.

More . . .
About done for the day.
Afterwards, Joseph mulched the bed.
Notice, in back of the mulched area, there’s still more harvesting to do.

Plus, this!

Lots of piled sweet potatoes. Here’s one pile.

Finally, on our always changing free stand today . . .

BTW: a few days ago I put out a rebounder that I no longer use. Then, yesterday evening, I saw it at a neighbor’s house, a few doors down, sitting on the lawn, with their little boy using it as his table. Perfect!
