Community Dinner, April 23: ON THE PATIO!

Finally, the windy, cold/hot winter/summer jigsaw seems to have subsided, and we’ve really entered spring. Though we did have the first April Community Dinner, on the 9th, on the patio, the wind whipped around both sides of the house to reach us.

All the more grateful then are we for such an extraordinary evening as was April 23, with lots of folks and lots of food. Huge variety. Wonderful fun.

As is usual, this past Thursday, we “circled up” on the platform that used to hold a yurt and is now a stage; while standing there holding hands, Elisha asked us to tell our “craziest” experiences. Many volunteered, and it got crazier and crazier, until we laughed so hard we almost forgot we were all VERY hungry. So, suddenly, it was done, and eating commenced.

A huge feast, BTW. (I brought two gluten-free pizzas.) Though nobody thought to bring dessert!

So I went into the house and quickly brought out some grapes.

This next photo was taken from the stage.
