This past Thursday, we eagerly looked forward to having our twice-monthly Community Dinner, for the first time this year, out on the patio (rather than in either my house or Elisha and Dave’s house). The temp was okay . . .but: the wind, it turned out, was fierce! We huddled behind the house, which kind of broke the wind, but not really.

Work party today, however, served up glorious weather. Accomplished: getting more gravel where it needed to go (in a trench filled with large rocks, which did hold water, but threatened to break the ankle of anyone who dared step across it).
Here’s today’s crew . . . Mere, Dave, Elisha, Addy. Oops! Forgot Marita! She was there too.

She’s the one with the orange shirt.

Boss lady Elisha oversees the project . . .

Then, there’s the new chipper, which Dave demonstrated while Mere held her fingers in her ears . . .

Here’s the greenhouse, today.
And finally, here’s the old stump, with my late husband Jeff’s photo still attached, even though half of it broke away this past week, after, let’s see now, how many years ago did I get that tree cut down? Likely two decades ago.
